We Bring Hope to Tanzania’s Most Vulnerable Communities
Safaris With A Heart is a Tanzanian nonprofit that identifies and supports people living in extreme hardship — including orphans, disabled individuals, families without homes, and children struggling to stay in school.
Our volunteer safaris combine life-changing community work with unforgettable adventure, creating long-term impact where it’s needed most.

We enroll the poorest families in NHIF/community insurance programs so they can access hospitals safely.

Building safe homes, proper toilets, hand-washing stations, and water access solutions.
Finding Those Often Forgotten
We use a strong community network across Tanzania to reach people who truly need urgent help. We receive referrals through:

- Hospitals & health centers (nurses, social workers, and doctors)
- Churches & faith leaders
- Schools & teachers
- Local government officers (social welfare & village leaders)
- Community leaders (chairpersons, elders, women’s groups)

Our charity initiatives focus on uplifting Tanzanian communities by addressing critical needs in education, healthcare, and community development. From constructing safe homes for Maasai families with disabled children to providing cleft palate/lip surgeries for children ostracized due to birth defects, our projects aim to bring love, light, hope, and joy to those most in need.
We also support local orphanages by providing medical insurance for infants and staff, ensuring they receive necessary medical care. Our efforts extend to distributing solar lights to families without electricity, enabling children to study after dark and improving overall safety.
Through these initiatives, we strive to create sustainable change and empower communities to become self-sufficient.
